SBIR/STTR 101: Introduction & Overview

The Federal SBIR/STTR programs award over $2.6 billion in high risk R&D funding annually to qualified small businesses. The process is complex with a steep learning curve, but the impact of receiving $millions in non-dilutive funding is worth the effort.  Attend this morning session with SBIR expert, Lisa Kurek, and learn about SBIR/STTR eligibility, how to select the right agency and key components of a competitive proposal. The class is designed to provide enough information for attendees to determine if they would like to seriously pursue a grant or contract proposal.

One-on-One Consulting

Are you on the hunt for R&D funding for your high-risk technology or already considering a proposal through the government’s SBIR or STTR program? Bring your questions and get advice on:
• Assessing whether SBIR/STTR is right for you
• Selecting the right federal agency for your technology
• Researching past awards for hints on what agencies are looking for
• How to get registered so you can submit
• How to contact a program manager and what to ask
• How to approach your commercialization plan
• What to include in your Specific Aims
• And more
