Take a look at a sample Innovation Disclosure HERE.
Prepare to submit your disclosure using this TIP SHEET.
Please note that your submission is not a legal document and it is not a part of the formal patent application process and does not provide any legal protection for your invention.
Ideally, your innovations should be disclosed at least 2-3 months prior to public disclosure. Early disclosure allows time for analysis and appropriate protection of the innovation.
Note: public disclosure includes, but is not limited to, conference abstracts, poster or verbal presentations at conferences or other meeting venues and publication of any kind - this includes foundation and university newsletters.
If submitting a grant and divulging novel chemical structures or other proprietary information, please contact OTT to discuss.
